The Husband & Wife duo behind Pastry Lab
Who Are We?
First of all, let us introduce ourselves. He's Pak Kin from Hong Kong while his wife, Linda is from Singapore.
He is a patient and loving man who loves children and sports. With that combination, he decided to pursue teaching as a PE teacher. It is obvious that with his sporty personality, this profession fits him the best. Well, for her, she is a high energetic lady who has great passion for baking and was working as a pastry cook in restaurants and hotels for 3 years before she decided to do something different. She's now a qualified Social Worker after graduating from UniSIM with Bronze award in 2013.
Why Start This Blog?
We began this blog as we felt that along the way in charting our career paths, we wanted to have a space to share the success stories of inspiring people whom we have met. From the Who, to How, to What happened etc.. It really awes and amazes us at how they manage to start something from scratch and build it up. Of course, definitely there were challenges and obstacles in the midst of it all. Hence, wouldn't it be great to hear their stories and journal them down here?
And here you are, thanks for dropping by our creative space titled <The Pastry Lab>.
Why title it The Pastry Lab?
As cliche as it may sound, our initials are P&L. Hence, the idea was inspired by my love for pastry and he, being a chemistry undergraduate who used to work in the science labs. Ta..da…. there you have, put pastry and lab together = Pastry Lab.
But more than that, we felt that it suits what we have in mind = that this "Pastry Lab" blog will provide a space for us to carry out "research" on the new F&B happenings, what contributes to a successful cafe, what can we learn from friends whom we met in our path etc. Also, it can be a space to journal our "observations" as we carry out the "investigations" and "experiment" what works well for us.
Stay tuned for more information coming your way!
